Step 1 – Petition

To become a Freemason, you must first submit a “Petition” (an application) to the Lodge you wish to join.

To be eligible for membership in Tejon, (or any Colorado Lodge), you must:

•Be a man.
•Be at least 18 years of age.
•Possess a belief in the existence of a Supreme Being.
•Be capable of reading and writing.
•Have lived in Colorado for more than 6 months.
•Be of good moral character and free from previous criminal convictions (we will conduct a criminal background check).

Submitting a Petition

Once you decided that you want to join Tejon Lodge, you must first fill out a Petition. The fee to petition is $300 with $186 per year annual dues (after you have become a Master Mason). Once you completely fill out your Petition, you will need to bring it, along with the applicable petition fee, to our lodge before the next stated (or official) meeting to be considered.

You will need to have two Brothers, who deem you a worthy individual, endorse your Petition before it can be submitted to the Lodge. One must be a member of our lodge and the other can be any brother from a lodge that Colorado recognizes as regular. If you do not know of a brother in Tejon Lodge, you are welcome and advised to join us for dinner to provide Brothers an opportunity to get to know you and for you to get to know Tejon Lodge and our brothers.
